Recommendations- Now vs. Later

One benefit that we provide our customers with is our Service Report. We send this report directly to the person who manages your fleet. If there are any recommendations after our inspection, we will include a quote! These quotes will be located at the bottom of our Service Report.

It is very important to thoroughly look through each line item in our report. If something needs immediate attention, it will be marked one of 3 ways:

  1. “Recommend Changing ASAP”- The item needs to be service as soon as possible, based on the condition we observed during our inspection.
  2. “Recommend Changing at Next Maintenance Check”- We know it is coming, but it has some life left. At the current rate of deterioration, we are expecting it to be due in about 7,500 miles from now, or at the next Maintenance Check.
  3. “Recommend Changing at Next Oil Change”- We know it is coming, but it has some life left. At the current rate of deterioration, we are expecting it to be due in about 15,000 miles from now, or at the next oil change.

In addition, there is also a section at the bottom of our report where our technicians can make comments with more detail, such as: The oil pan is leaking, left front tire pressure sensor needs to be replaced, oil was significantly low on inspection – keep an eye on oil level, ETC.

An awesome benefit to us being able to mark things due in the future, is that with the quote, you can anticipate the cost of the next service. However, it is important to note that the price on the quote could potentially change. For example, if we mark something as due at the next oil change, that is 15,000 miles or potentially an entire year away from when it needs to be serviced. Prices of parts, fluids, and sometimes even labor can vary in that span of time. We don’t expect to see a big fluctuation in prices, but again, it does happen. Our scheduler, double checks the prices before calling to schedule, and will let you know if there was a change in price However, If he is slacking and forgets, don’t be afraid to ask for another quote!
