Will You Service My Personal Vehicles?

If you have searched for us on the interwebs, you probably noticed that we make it plainly known that we only service company or “fleet” vehicles. There are a couple of exceptions to that rule, but in general we stick to our guns. The 2 exceptions are:

  1. Employees or our commercial accounts, and
  2. Motorhomes and RV’s.

The reasons we operate this way, however, require some explanation, so here we go.

You see, from day one, we designed our business model around the needs of small local businesses. These companies have very different routines than owners of personal vehicles. One item of concern is, the owners of fleet vehicles rarely drive them, so keeping track of maintenance can be difficult. Business owners have extreme difficulty making sure maintenance is complete at all, let alone on time. To solve this dilemma, we have created a proprietary software to track vehicle maintenance for these owners. We keep the records straight, so maintenance is completed on-time on their fleet of vehicles stay in proper working order.

This is how the story goes: The owner stops doing his job to make the rounds to determine which of his vehicles need attention. Let’s say it cost him $$ to step away from his main function. He then discovers that one (probably more than one but we will stick with one for now) is way overdue for an oil change. He wonders out loud, “why didn’t someone tell me?”. The crew who drives the truck is then asked to take the truck to the local lube shop where they sit waiting for an hour or maybe more. Don’t worry, the crew doesn’t mind, they are being paid to wait so they are not bothered, but the owner, he is acutely aware or what this is costing him, say $$$. The owner also sees that the job this crew is supposed to be doing, is not being done.(you know, the thing they do that produces money and profit?) Yeah, well they can’t do that in the waiting room of some lube shop. This is a seriously expensive situation for our hypothetical business owner, let’s call it  this much $$$$. Don’t forget, he still has to pay the shop for the oil change in question. It costs roughly this much $. All in the owner pays;

  1. $$ for his time spent discovering the problem.
  2. $$$ paying his crew to eat popcorn at the oil change place.
  3. $$$$ in lost profits.
  4. $ price of the oil change.

Total- $,$$$,$$$,$$$. That is a lot of dollar signs!

Here is how we make things better. Let me tell you the story of a Rogers Mobile Lube & Tire customer. Ready?

Our hero shows up to work Monday morning. In his email inbox there is a 1 page service report that shows the findings of the inspection we provided when we serviced his vehicle over the weekend while he was fishing. The End!

  1. We came when his vehicles weren’t being used. (Saved him  $$$, and $$$$.)
  2. We use a long-life synthetic oil and filter (1 year up to 15,000 miles). Less changes, means less of the above hassle. (Saved him $$$, and this $$$$, and $ like 3-5 times)
  3. Our magic software tracks his vehicles for him so he doesn’t have to. (Saves him  $$, $$, $$, and $$ again,.and again, and again)
Our service is so good, and saves the owner so much time and money, that once these wise owners start using our service, they don’t go back to the old way. One of our clients put it this way, he said:

“Imagine if your vehicle changed its own oil, that’s what it is like.”

It’s not that we don’t want to service your personal vehicles, it’s that we save the business fleet owner a ton of time and money. We can’t say the same for the driver of a personal car or truck, so we choose to serve those we serve best, the local business owner.
