Why We Do Not Service Over-The-Road Trucks

If you have been to our website or found us on a Google search, you may notice an apparent contradiction regarding who we serve. You may notice that we service “Fleet” vehicles, but then you find out that we do not service over-the-road semi-trucks. Are they not “Fleet” vehicles? I want to discuss why we draw this distinction and why we do not service these types of vehicles.

Rogers Mobile Lube & Tire is not your run-of-the-mill lube shop. We use a special synthetic oil called Amsoil. In Over-the-road trucks, Amsoil Signature Series diesel oil lasts 3 times longer than normal oils so it is an intriguing option for long haul truck drivers. However, this amazing product comes with a down-side in relation to the needs of these road warriors at least regarding using our services. For these drivers, Amsoil can be hard to find out in the wild. Amsoil is not sold in typical parts stores, and very rarely in lube shops, especially big truck friendly shops. These drivers may have us change their oil here in Boise, Idaho, but what happens if they are in Connecticut, or Texas when they need another oil change? The bottom line is, we cannot properly serve them. There are other companies that can take better care of these long-haul machines. I’m referring to the trucks and the drivers when I say machines. Did you know they routinely drive 130-140,000 miles per year? Yeah, freaking amazing!

It is hard to admit sometimes, but we can’t do everything, and we are not the best option for everyone. This is one example of just that.
